This summer I’ve had an opportunity to show some of my figurative sculpture. I already posted that “Making the ‘A’ List” was juried into the “Fictional” show at the Bath House Art Center in Dallas. In August I’ll have two representations of a model name Dave at the Dougherty Arts Center in Austin August 5-28. Dave is probably the most painted and sculpted model in Central Texas. As part of Austin Visual Arts Association’s “COLLABORATION” Exhibit we’ll be building a mural wall of artworks with Dave as the subject.
My entries are:

Dave was a portrait study that began professional life as “Saint Jerome” complete with tonsure hairdo. But after I parked a leather hat on him, he began a new life as “Dave Larson Down Under” (18”h x 13”w x16’d)
Dave became the “Colorado River God” (16”h x 23”w x 3”d) after I’d visited Italy and seen the classic river god sculptures in Rome.
By the way, “Making the ‘A’ List” was also Dave Larson!
